  • How to solve the fault of DC high-voltage generator?

    The DC high-voltage generator under the UHV power company can help many power workers conduct various power tests more conveniently.

    DC high-voltage generators have the characteristics of small size, light weight, beautiful and reliable appearance, simple operation, and complete functions, and are widely used in the power sector of enterprises such as electric power, mining, metallurgy, and steel. Mainly conduct DC withstand voltage tests on high-voltage electrical equipment such as zinc oxide lightning arresters, power cables, transformers, generators, and high-voltage switches.

    As a large electrical equipment, DC high-voltage generators may encounter some common faults during use. First, let's talk about the common faults and solutions of DC high-voltage generators.

    1. Turn on the battery switch of the DC high-voltage generator, but the battery indicator light and green light are not on?

    Fault analysis: Check the battery fuse, battery cable, and battery switch;

    Solution: If there is any damage, please replace it promptly.

    2. After turning on the battery switch of the DC high-voltage generator, the green battery indicator light flashes and the buzzer sounds.

    Fault analysis:

    A. Not grounded;

    B. Unreliable grounding;

    C. Use generator batteries or isolate transformer batteries through switchgear.

    resolvent:

    A. Grounding;

    B. Check if the grounding wire is reliable and re ground it;

    C. If the battery is replaced with 1/1 isolation or spontaneous batteries are used on site, the battery must be manually grounded.

    3. After turning on the battery switch of the DC high voltage generator, the battery indicator light is green and the high voltage indicator light is off (high voltage cannot be turned off).

    Fault analysis:

    A. The voltage regulator is not at zero position;

    B. Set the overvoltage setting switch to zero;

    C. The high voltage indicator button light may be damaged.

    resolvent:

    A. Restore the potentiometer to zero position.

    B. Set the overvoltage setting switch to the voltage required for this test.

    C. Check if the high voltage indicator light is damaged and replace it.

    4. The high voltage digital microampere of the DC high voltage generator always shows zero during use.

    Fault analysis:

    A. The high-voltage digital microampere meter may be damaged,

    B. The output line of the microampere meter may be short circuited,

    C. The output line of the microampere meter is not connected properly.

    resolvent:

    A. Return the microampere meter to the factory for repair.

    B. Check the output line of the microampere meter. If there is a short circuit, please re weld.

    C. Check the microampere meter output line and microampere meter contact battery switch. If there is any damage, please replace it promptly.
