Application of series resonant device

Series resonance device is an important electrical indicator for insulation inspection of electrical equipment before operation, which is achieved through the principle of series circuit and constant voltage and current. For small capacity electrical equipment, we can use oil immersed test transformers for measurement. For large capacity electrical equipment, series resonance must be used, such as common power cables, transformers, and GIS combiners.  

Characteristics of series resonance device test

Due to the fact that series resonance fully simulates the actual operating conditions of the power system, it is easier to directly and intuitively reflect the insulation situation of the equipment. Compared with using a DC high-voltage generator to check insulation, the capacity and volume of the series resonance device are larger, and the output voltage and current are higher, making it relatively more versatile. According to the size of the tested capacity and the combination method, it meets the testing requirements of current electrical equipment.  

What precautions should be taken during operation

During the wiring process, in addition to connecting the safety ground wire and protective ground wire, the high-voltage tail of the excitation transformer must be grounded, otherwise it cannot be tested. At the same time, the adjacent phases of the tested cable should be reliably grounded and sufficient safety distance and space should be reserved. In addition, corresponding isolation and care measures should be taken. In case of emergency, the emergency stop button on the control panel can be immediately pressed!
