    Product parameters

Wuhan UHV Power Technology Co.,Ltd., is a professional manufacturer and supplier of high-voltage power testing equipment in China. The TAG-9000 remote wireless HV phase tester (hereinafter referred to as the "instrument") is used to remotely verify whether the high-voltage phase is in phase and whether the phase sequence color is marked correctly. It can also be used for close range grid connection or ring network phase detection. The instrument is suitable for 5V~220kV AC transmission lines and secondary live display phase detection, and also has the function of line live detection.

The instrument adopts wireless transmission technology and GPS timing technology, which is safe and reliable to operate, easy to use, and overcomes many disadvantages of wired phase detectors.

    Product functions

    1. Remote phase verification function for high-voltage lines

The device uses wireless transmission and GPS timing technology to perform long-distance phase comparison between two high-voltage lines, determining whether the lines on both sides are in phase and measuring the phase difference between them. This provides phase verification support for grid connection and loop closing operations on transmission lines, substations, and distribution lines.

    2. Phase difference measurement function

The device can measure the phase difference between two lines under test in real time and display the phase difference measurement results. The phase difference measurement error does not exceed ±5°, and it can be used to determine line phase relationships and verify phase sequence.

    3. Phase sequence and in-phase/out-of-phase determination function

The device can identify the phase sequence of the lines under test and automatically determine whether the two lines are in phase or out of phase, while providing test results through both display and voice prompts, assisting on-site personnel in quickly confirming line phase relationships.

    4. Long-distance wireless phase verification function

Uses wireless communication to transmit data between the transmitter and receiver, avoiding the limitations of traditional wired phase verification methods that are constrained by test distance and connecting cables.

The line-of-sight wireless transmission distance is approximately 100 m. In remote phase verification mode, the phase verification distance between the two main units can cover approximately 0.3 to 800 km, meeting the remote phase verification requirements of transmission lines at different distances.

    5. High-voltage line voltage detection function

The device has a cross-voltage detection function with a measurement range of 5 V to 220 kV, suitable for voltage and phase detection on AC lines of different voltage levels.

    6. Line live detection function

The device has a line live detection function to assist in determining whether the high-voltage line under test is energized, providing a live status indication for on-site phase verification operations.

    7. GPS synchronization timing function

The device uses GPS timing technology to provide a synchronized time reference between the remote transmitter and the receiver host, enabling phase relationship measurement between lines over long distances and improving the reliability and accuracy of remote phase verification.

    Application Scenarios

    1. Phase verification before transmission line grid connection

Before commissioning of new transmission lines, line retrofitting, or power source switching, perform phase verification on both ends of the line to confirm phase consistency and correct phase sequence, avoiding phase-to-phase short circuits or impact during grid connection.

    2. Substation incoming and outgoing line phase verification

After new construction, expansion, retrofitting, or line replacement in substations, perform phase verification on incoming and outgoing lines to confirm the phase relationship between different lines.

    3. Phase verification before loop closing on distribution lines

Before loop closing operations or ring network operation in distribution networks, perform phase verification on lines between two power sources or two ring main units, confirming that the phases on both sides are consistent before closing the loop.

    4. Remote phase verification for long-distance transmission lines

For lines that are far apart and difficult to connect with test leads using traditional phase testers, the device's GPS synchronization and wireless communication capabilities can be used to perform measurements at different locations, enabling long-distance phase comparison.

FAQ about Remote Wireless HV Phase Tester

Q: What is the TAG-9000 mainly used for?

A: The TAG-9000 is mainly used for line phase verification and phase relationship detection in high-voltage transmission and distribution systems. It can be applied to scenarios such as transmission lines, substations, distribution lines, and ring network lines, helping personnel determine whether lines on both sides are in phase, whether the phase sequence is correct, and measure the phase difference.

Q: Is the TAG-9000 suitable for ordinary distribution lines or long-distance transmission lines?

A: It can be applied to both. However, its remote phase verification capability is particularly valuable for long-distance transmission lines and phase comparison between lines at different locations. Actual selection should be determined based on the line voltage level, testing distance, on-site environment, and project technical requirements.

Q: What is the difference between remote phase verification and ordinary wireless phase verification?

A: Ordinary wireless communication primarily addresses data transmission between devices at short distances. Remote phase verification, however, utilizes GPS synchronization to establish a unified time reference, enabling phase comparison of test data collected at different locations. Therefore, they cannot be simply judged based solely on wireless communication distance.

    Safety precautions

    1. During on-site testing, operations should be carried out in accordance with the safety distance standards for high-voltage testing set by the power department.

    2. The standard configuration is a 3-meter insulated pole, corresponding to a voltage level of 220kV. If the measured line voltage is higher than 220kV, please use insulated poles with a length greater than 3 meters.

    3. When operating the nuclear phase, do not hold it beyond the position of the insulating rod handle

    Maintenance and upkeep

    1. Please fully charge before storing when not in use for a long time.

    2. This product should not be stored in damp, high temperature, or dusty environments.

    3. The insulation rod should undergo a voltage withstand test before its first use, and an annual voltage withstand test should be conducted.
